character history,
edward lyons was born in london, england in the small hours of the morning of the twenty first of april. his mother, english rose lady sarah moore and her american husband, business tycoon and former male model charles lyons, named their son after both of their fathers, lord edward moore and the lesser known frederick lyons. despite having a the idylic home in the english countryside, the family moved to new york when edward was just a few months old and set up home in a penthouse on the upper east side, over the years they would return to their country retreat in england for holidays and the such.
as the first born edward was appropriatly spoiled by his family, he had his mother and father's undivided attention and only had to want for something and he got it. but edward had to learn to share when his sister, elizabeth may - affectionatly known as effy to most, was born when he was two years old. edward was too young to understand what the fuss was about but unlike some children he took the role of older brother very seriously, and he still does. when he was four he started school, but unlike most children he was home schooled. he spent his first seven years in education being taught by the slightly mad mr howard and he benefited greatly from this one on one learning. his parents had a large circle of friends with children his age so he was never without a playmate.
when eddie turned thirteen lady sarah expressed the wish for her son to be educated in england, her home country. so when term began he flew over to england with his mother and enrolled in eton college for boys, the same school the english princes were taught at. edward fitted in well with life at eton, he made some good friends and proved himself to be an apt and intelligent student. he enjoyed most of his lessons, but he favourite by far was drama. his drama teacher supported edward and urged him to consider a career in the theatre, eddie always kept his love of drama a secret when he returned home over the summer, worried what his father might think. when he was fifteen he got the lead in the school play, both his mother and father came from america to see it and afterwards recognised their son's talent. that summer they suggested that he go to brentwood and he jumped at the chance. he's been every year since he was sixteen. he has returned to brentwood after his last year at eton, and when the summer is over he will be returning to england to assume a place at oxford university.

roleplay sample,
Eddie wasn’t used to the glorious weather that Los Angeles provided for him, even after spending several of his summers here. Back in England there always seemed to be a grey overcast and the minute there was any bit of sun the boys of Eton college ran for the school grounds. And while his summer’s in New York weren’t exactly cold he wasn’t surrounded by palm trees and sandy beaches. Within days Eddie’s face had become covered in freckles and his skin started to develop a pinkish hue; he had now taken to wearing large aviator sunglasses and a thick layer of sun cream where ever he went, he knew it made him stick out as the ’tourist type’ but he’d rather that than sticking out for being lobster red.
That day Eddie had left the house with his uniform glasses and a good helping of sunscreen, now he was eighteen his mother trusted him with the beachside condo his family owned and he no longer needed a chaperone for his summers in LA. This sort of freedom was exciting, and despite only being here a few days he was already planning the gatherings he would have. First though, he would have to meet some people, there were those he met at Brentwood the previous summers but some of them never returned, in fact there were only a handful Eddie still kept in contact with.
He rounded the next corner and knew that in a few more minutes he would have reached his destination, Brentwood. Eddie walked there everyday for there was no need to waste precious gas on a short journey that took him twenty minutes on foot. Soon the school came into view with loads of kids milling around outside, just as he got to the gates his phone buzzed in his jean pocket, he stopped to pull it out and check it. It was a text from his mother, Eddie shook his head and exhaled loudly, did the woman ever stop?.
